I’ve forgotten half the passwords to all the websites I use/visit/comment on, and I can’t find any of the scattered bits of paper I scribbled them down on. I used to be careful about this sort of thing, 4,827 passwords ago.
Note: a lot of these passwords are on the old laptop. Which now just moans, groans, and whines, and the screen stays black, when I try to start it. It knows it’s been betrayed. They know, people.
New beast update: urgle — Windoze just uploaded something like 92 updates. I hope I don’t have to go through that again. I thought it had crashed.

You never did register on my website. <snif>

I did, I did!
I think. Well, if I did, I can’t remember the password, so I guess I’ll have to register all over again! Oh, the humanity!

Okay, well, I commented on your blog. I stepped on your lawn! Hah!

It’s entirely possible you registered on my site back when I was using Movable Type. I’m pretty sure that password would have been expired by now anyway.

BTW — If I went to the right website you don’t actually have password registration set up. If you’re using Expression Engine you can change that.

Actually I do. You need to click the “Register” link in the gray bar just below the logo.

That’s at McGehee.cc — which, since you’ve commented in the last few days I just know you had the right site.

I’m so confused.

All right, now I see — you have registration and allow non-registered users to comment. I only allow registered people to comment on Tim’s blog (which I set up with Expression Engine).
Anyway, now I went and registered properly. I am an Official Member of McGehee Zone!
