What the hell is wrong with me? All I have been able to do for almost the whole weekend is sit at this desk and click click click the stupid mouse. Oh yeah, and roll the scroll button. The inevitable is starting to happen: my hand feels like it's going to pop off my wrist. I have to turn this thing off before my right arm tendons start to burst into flame. So. BYE.
Doin' the laundreeee update: I'm back but I find it difficult to type around a cat. Note: I think that if I get the apartment I want I will be much better off financially and clutterwise as I will not have several second-hand junk stores across the street anymore. However, Ebay is still quite the danger.

Try switching to your left hand.
I did it long ago. It's easy to work the scroll and arrow keys and the numeric keypad at the same time.

I'm not very ambidextrous. I've tried the left-hand thing before. I do have a keyboard with a left-hand scroll button, but I can't get my laptop (my only computer right now) to recognize it. I'm trying to use the toggle button thing and other buttons on the laptop instead of the mouse (it's an earlier version of the IBM Thinkpad, before they put touchpads in).

The only time I ever had TIME to spend so long at the computer that my hands ached was when the ol man was deployed. No meals to fix, no laundry that HAD to be done, no conversation worth having, just cats to serve. They're not the time-consumers a real live person is.
Sometimes I miss it...8-)
