You can invite me, James! (I think I have a Myspace page somewhere. Do I? Now I'm not sure.)
Unexpected: Philip K. Dick and Peter De Vries? Who knew!

I think I'm the only person left on the planet who doesn't have a MySpace page...

It's OK Susan, I don't either. In fact I don't even have a blog; I just cruise around and comment on other people's.
Curious bit of music playing on James' page, there. I guess you have to be a Minnesotan to appreciate it, or even to be sure what language they're singing in.

MySpace for me has become sort of like cell phones. It's much more mainstream and might even be somewhat useful to have, but I'm resisting it out of sheer elitist spite and curmudgeonry.

Frighteningly, even I have one, and I'm older and possibly surlier than Lileks.

I put one up, but it is languishing even as we speak. Oh well.....

I made him a friend of my band.

I like Lileks. He's a nerd from North Dakota -- where I'm from, that's an oxymoron. Been reading his blog & columns since early 2001, I guess. I have one of the books he's written & it STILL makes me laugh.
I don't have anything on MySpace, I've been invited to be a Friend by a Fellow Traveller in SoCal, & my KID & her sweetie & all their friends have such a thing...twentysomethings seem to like it. I had my own web page once, but I'm such a dope I got bored with myself after awhile. Andrea lets me hang out here & she & Tim let me in at Blair's place, that's enough for me.
