I don't want to go to work ANY MORE.
Really, why do we do this to ourselves? Are all the sitcoms and cubicle jokes worth it?

I have no idea. I don't want to go to work either.
One thing I did that helped was I had a meeting outside on a pretty day two weeks ago. We just walked around outside while we talked. (It was a meeting that lent itself well to this).
It helps that our campus at work is pretty -- flowers and trees and stuff. And there are nice sidewalks.
On the other hand I got a tiny sunburn. :P

I wish I had the answer. Going to work pays for the hamburger, but if I didn't go in long enough, they'd haul me away and feed me. Maybe I'd even get basic cable.

I emailed my husband last year and told him I had an idea: we'd wait for my employer to shut down (which was to happen in a few months), I'd get my severence, we'd sell the house and all our stuff, buy a couple of sturdy backpacks, and there we'd be. Kid's in college, she'll be all right. I just hadn't worked out what to do about the cats. He emailed back one word: "Saute." I suppose with some diced onion and mushrooms....
