Have you seen the current "Robin Hood" series on BBC America? Frankly, I see it as a crock, a sort of medieval "McHale's Navy" without the comedy.
Watching this "Nottingham" version, just to see Robin Hood (whomever plays that part) getting whupped would be a pleasure.
