Nobody ever called Pablo Picasso an asshole

But they should have.

(Via Charles at Dustbury, from whom I also stole the idea for the title of my post -- but that's only because that song lyric came immediately to mind the minute I saw the words "Pablo Picasso," the way they always do when I see Picasso's name.

If there's one thing blogdom truly needs, it's more Jonathan Richman references. (I figure it's just a matter of time before I find something that works with "Lonely Financial Zone.") It just kills me that Richman is actually older than I am; he ought to be twenty-two forever.

I saw Jonathan Richman play at a club here sixteen years ago. Saw is the operative word because, from where I was at, I could hardly hear him. (It was just him and his guitar...no amplifiers.)

Well, he did once sing that we should all be "dignified and old" one day... ;-)
