And here we go; the Anchoress is called a “mean fake nun,” Mark Hemingway’s measured response to the From 52 to 48 website is called “howling for blood,” and so on. Go ahead and check all the links alicublog uses as examples of the right’s intransigence, and tell yourself this is the way gracious winners behave. I can see the future, and it’s headlined “48% of Americans still racist.”

    I’m confused. How do they want me to think of Obama? As “the (soon-to-be) president,” or as “the BLACK!!!11!!!OMGWTFBBQ!! (soon-to-be) president?”

    ‘Cause, I always thought taking particular notice of a man’s race was, you know, racist. Silly me.

    ….okay, I went through all the “just the A’s” links Mr “Fake Nun” provided and I’m wondering what was his point? No frothing in any of them. Criticism, yes. Frothing, no.

    (Odd, I don’t recall the Anchoress ever claiming to be a nun, though the handle she chose was based upon one. Some people just don’t get those subtle distinctions.)

    Oh and the comments on the blog are just precious. They truly do not see the bile they swim in.

    Oh and then they do find a conservative-like person who is just as abusive and scream “tu quoque” and use it as an excuse for hundreds more abusive screeds.

    It is at that point when I feel tempted to ask if the conservative-like person they point at jumped off a bridge then would they do so too?
